the "who" behind pure mountain logic

evan davies | founder

Evan Davies is a true digital pioneer, entrepreneur and proven leader with over twenty-six years experience in the Digital realm. He has extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in all aspects of Digital Production, including Mobile and Web UI/UX Design and Development, User-Centered Design, Business Strategy and Team Management.

Evan enjoys creating and building. In 1991, he was a co-founder of Interactive Solutions, a cutting edge digital company that created CD-ROM based sales and marketing applications, digital video, and touch-screen kiosk systems. After launching and building Interactive Solutions, Evan helped build the initial interactive divisions for two of Richmond’s top advertising agencies. In 1995 he started and built Davies New Media, Inc.- a very successful full service web design, development and hosting company. Davies New Media ran for eleven years and maintained a 30% annual growth rate for six straight years, all the while incurring no debt whatsoever. Starting in 2006, he spent the next eight years building and leading the Digital UI and UX Design community at Capital One. After Capital One, Evan helped Allianz Global Assistance with digital strategy and led the design and development of a new corporate web site and mobile application. Today, Evan has returned to the familiar ground of running his own shop, Pure Mountain Logic, and once again helping companies market themselves in the digital world through solid strategy and implementation.

Pure Mountain Logic?

Yes. Mountain Logic is pure, clean and simple. Mountain logic is fresh and is always evolving. It is also the source of my energy and creativity. Sometimes one has to rise above it all in order to reveal a clearer picture.

a peek inside the studio

This is where most of the magic happens - the primary editing station. We have a complete recording studio in here as well. Evan plays the banjo, drums and piano and has been a part of the Richmond, VA music scene for close to thirty years.

A little history

Anyone know what this is sitting on my desk? Well, I'll tell ya. This is the very first cannonball (first place award) ever given for interactive work at The Richmond Show back in 1995. I'd like to help you get one of these!
